Custom socks are the promotional product people actually keep. A branded pen is lost in a week; a good pair of socks is worn, washed and worn again for a year, and every time the wearer pulls them on, the logo is there. Teams, schools, breweries, tech companies and trade-show planners have understood this — and the range of socks we supply has grown accordingly, from knitted crew socks with a simple logo to 360° printed socks with a full-colour design. Here is how to choose.
Knitted or printed: the first decision
Knitted socks have the design built into the fabric. The logo and stripes are made of coloured yarn, so they never crack or fade, and the sock feels like a sock you would buy in a store. Up to 6 yarn colours can be knitted in; logos should be simple shapes and solid colours. This is the choice for teams, uniforms and anything meant to last.
Printed (sublimated) socks take any artwork: photos, gradients, dozens of colours, a pattern that wraps 360° around the sock. The design is ink-jet printed into a polyester-blend sock. They are the choice for bold campaigns, artwork-heavy designs and small runs with complex logos. See the printed socks.
A third option sits between the two: an embroidered logo on a plain knitted sock, up to about 4 cm × 4 cm on the cuff. Several of our winter and outdoor models offer it (30% wool, cotton thickened, ski socks, tween socks).
Pick the sock for the wearer, not just the logo

Most knitted models are quoted with no setup fee, which is unusual for a decorated product and makes small quantities much easier to price.
Artwork that knits well
- Keep it simple: a symbol and a short word. Knitting is a grid of yarn — thin lines and tiny text turn into blur.
- Count your colours. Each colour is a separate yarn; up to 6 on most models. Give PMS references so we can pick the closest yarn shade.
- Think in zones: cuff, leg, heel and toe, sole. Contrasting heels and toes cost nothing extra and make a sock look designed rather than printed on.
- Printed socks have none of these limits — send a print-ready file at full resolution and the whole sock is your canvas.
Before you quote, open the virtual sample on the product page, upload the logo and check the look with your client.
Sizing and packaging
Adult socks are supplied in standard sizes (ask for the size split you need: most orders are one size, or a small/medium/large mix for the knitted socks). Children’s models are sized by age. Socks can be delivered flat with a kraft label header — a small printed band that turns the pair into a retail-ready gift; the knitted socks page shows the header pricing by quantity.
How to request a quote
Send us the model code (for example PRO242 for the classic crew, PRO211 for printed), the quantity, the number of colours or the artwork, the size split, and the date you need them. We answer within one business day with tiered pricing, a proof of the knitted design and the production plan. Rush production is possible on many models — tell us the event date up front.
Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum order for custom socks?
Our tiers start at small quantities and most knitted models carry no setup fee, so a first order of a few dozen pairs is realistic. Tell us the quantity and we will quote the closest tier.
How many colours can a knitted sock have?
Up to 6 yarn colours on most models, including the base colour. A printed sock has no colour limit.
Can the logo go on the sole?
Yes on several knitted models — the cabin socks, for instance, are designed for a custom sole. Soles work well for a wordmark or a repeating pattern.
Are the socks washable without losing the logo?
Knitted and embroidered logos are part of the fabric and last as long as the sock. Printed socks use sublimation, which dyes the fibres rather than sitting on top, so the design survives normal washing.
