What we collect

Information you give us

When you fill in the contact form or request a quote, we collect the information you enter: your name, your company, your email address, your telephone number, the product and quantity you are asking about, the date you need it, and anything you write in the message field. If you email or call us instead, we keep the correspondence and the notes taken during the call.

We ask only for what a quote requires. Please do not send us sensitive information — we have no reason to hold any.

Information collected automatically

Our web server records the usual technical data for every visit: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser and operating system, and the page that referred you. This is how the site is kept secure and how faults are diagnosed.

We also use audience-measurement tools to understand which pages are useful and where visitors come from. These tools place cookies on your device.

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser. The site uses three kinds:

You can refuse or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. If you block the necessary cookies, the region and language selection will stop working.

Why we use it

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We do not use it to build advertising profiles. We send commercial emails only to people who have asked for them or with whom we already do business, and every one of those emails contains an unsubscribe link that works.

Who we share it with

Your information is available only to the Vinyform employees who need it to do their work, and to the service providers who operate the site and our business tools on our behalf — web hosting, email, audience measurement, and the carriers who deliver your order. These providers act on our instructions and may not use the information for their own ends.

Some of these providers, including our audience-measurement tools, process data outside Québec, mainly in the United States. Where that is the case we rely on the contractual protections those providers commit to.

We disclose information to a public authority only where the law obliges us to, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

How long we keep it

Once these periods end, the information is destroyed or anonymised.

How we protect it

The site is served entirely over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to our systems is restricted to authorised staff, protected by individual accounts, and reviewed. Our suppliers are chosen on their ability to protect the information entrusted to them. Should an incident create a risk of serious harm, we would notify the persons concerned and the Commission d’accès à l’information, as the law requires.

Your rights

You may at any time:

Write to info@vinyform.com. We answer within thirty days. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

Automated decisions and profiling

We do not make any decision about you based exclusively on automated processing, and we do not build behavioural profiles of visitors.

Children

This site is aimed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect information about anyone under fourteen. If you believe we have, write to us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

Our pages sometimes link to other websites. Once you follow such a link, this policy no longer applies; read the policy of the site you have reached.

Changes

We update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top of the page always shows the version in force. Material changes are announced on the home page.
