A car warranty holder is the last thing a dealership hands the customer at delivery and the first thing that customer opens when something goes wrong. It carries the warranty booklet, the owner’s manual extract, the service coupons and, more and more, the dealer’s contact card. Because every dealership orders them by the hundred and reorders every year, they are one of the most dependable lines a distributor can carry — provided the right format is quoted the first time. Here is how our range breaks down.
Start with what goes inside
Most warranty booklets are a little smaller than 6″ × 9″; some manufacturers’ run taller. Add a folded service schedule and a business card and the holder needs a few pockets, not one. That is why the core of the range is a two-flap holder that folds in half: a large clear pocket on the left, an opaque pocket on the right with three small clear pockets on top for cards, and — on some models — a fourth pocket or an extra opaque pocket on the inside cover.
The sizes, from smallest to largest
PL-53A is the reference: 6 1/4″ × 9 1/2″ closed, folded in two, large clear pocket on page 2, opaque pocket with three clear card pockets on page 3. PL-53B is the same holder with an additional opaque pocket on page 2 for dealerships that include more paper. PL-49 is the compact version at 6 1/4″ × 9″.
PL-54A and PL-54B move up to 6 3/4″ × 9 1/2″ — the same logic, half an inch more width for thicker booklets — and PL-59 shares that size in a different configuration. PL-56 (6 3/8″ × 9 3/4″) and PL-52 (6 7/8″ × 10″) sit between them for manufacturers whose booklets run tall.
PL-58A and PL-58B are the large format at 7 1/4″ × 10 1/4″, chosen when the dealership includes a full owner’s manual rather than a booklet, and PL-164 (7 3/4″ × 10″) is the widest of the family. At the other end, PL-61 (4″ × 9 3/4″) is a slim registration and insurance holder for the glove box, and the 101669 clear identification envelope, at 9 7/8″ × 11 1/2″, holds the whole delivery file for the service department.
Material, colour and imprint
All of these are made in vinyl, in the dealership’s colour from our chart of 25 standard vinyl colours — the dark blues, greys and blacks account for most orders, but a red or a green in a brand’s colour is the same price. The logo is hot stamped on the cover, one colour and one location on the standard quote (gold, silver or white foil on a dark vinyl is the usual combination), or silkscreened when the artwork is larger or in two colours. Quantities and packaging
Pricing on every warranty-holder page runs from 250 to 5,000 units, and the unit price drops by roughly a third between the two ends of that scale. Holders ship in standard cartons — 250 per box for PL-53A, 225 for PL-54A, 150 for PL-58A, so a 1,000-piece order of the reference model is four cartons. Dealer groups that standardize on one model across their stores get the same holder, the same foil and the same box count at every location, which is the argument that wins the account.
How to quote it
Ask the dealership three things: what goes in it (booklet or full manual), how many vehicles they deliver a year, and which colour and logo. With those, the product page gives the unit price by quantity; send us the logo and we return a proof within one business day.
